I'm a Crazy Old Lady! Since my first quilts were baby quilts, they still have a really big place in my heart. I have quilted five baby quilts for my own children, and a handful for others, and every time I do it’s my favorite project! It’s no wonder I designed two quilts that can be lap/twin size OR baby size! For more on how I became one, please check out my {All About Me} page.
I got the inspiration for GENEVIEVE when I watched an episode of HGTV's "Dear Genevieve". On the show, she had a bathroom tile she could mix up and put different ways to make chevrons or diamonds. I thought it was genius! The tile had a really jagged pattern, so I tried to mimic that with really chunky blocks. I love it both ways!
My inspiration for INTERWEAVE came from a Better Homes & Gardens magazine. I'm not sure what year it was, but it was a Christmas-themed magazine, and they had a package wrapped with ribbon that was so pretty, I knew it was destined to be a quilt! This was kind of a hard pattern to name -- for a while it was Entwined, once it was Carter, and it started out being Hugo -- because of Hugo Weaving, of course!
